My interest in photography was more the result of evolution than epiphany. I took 23 out of 25 art classes that my high school offered. I loved to create things, drawings, jewelery, sculptures you name it. I entered college with the intention of becoming a high school art teacher. My work study job in college was in the "photo services Department", which was basically an in-house lab / photo studio for the university. I went from Photo 101 class in the morning to being a one man commercial lab in the afternoon. I knew I had found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I switched my major and started to spend the majority of my creative energies on my photography.
I still enjoy creating new images every time I shoot. I try to approach every shot like it will end up in my portfolio.
I am a past President of The Phoenix, Arizona Chapter of ASMP and current member.
